Begonias Prefer A Fast Draining Water Retentive Mix. For This Reason, A Peat Based Mix Is The First Choice. A Ph In The 5.5 To 6.5 Will Work Best With Begonias. Keep Begonias Moist But Not Too Wet. A Constant Feeding Program At 200 Ppm Nitrogen With 20-10-20 Will Work Well. Day Temps. In The 65 To 80 Degree F. Range And Night Temps. In The 60 To 65 Degree Range Works Well. Will Handle Full Sun In The Greenhouse Until Temps. climb into The 90’s. Low Light Levels Result In Weak Stretched Plants That Are Poor Flowering

 

INSECTS DISEASES SCHEDULING
A Relatively Insect Free Plant. The Major Greenhouse Pests Do Not Disturb This Plant. Begonias Are Relatively Disease Free. Occasionally, One Will Have Problems With Botrytis Or Powdery Mildew But Not Often. Check With Your Local Floral cultural Extension Agent For Control Measures. In 10” Baskets Three To Five Plants Will Be Needed And 12 To 16 Weeks Growing Time Will Be Required. At Least One To Two Pinches Will Be Necessary. Allow 6 To 8 Weeks From Final Pinch To Sale.
